Coil Bound Books

This method of binding is most commonly used for short run books or books that need to be opened completely flat. The plastic coil makes the books safer than wirobinding in certain working environments and also for postage as it doesn’t have the same sharpness as the wire. All pages are gathered together with a front and back cover in loose leaf form. This book block is then punched 8mm from the spine which allows the PVC plastic coil to weave its way through the holes.
